For the love of all that is good in this world, please fix this! There is never any need to feel the bass so strong that it rattles your esophagus. I digress, I do deeply adore those boys and the fact that they actually know how to play their instruments. Sincerely.
As far as the energy and performances go, I think the two opening acts were still on autopilot. Adam was correct when he said the energy in the room and from the audience was better this second night. It was very cool! But this also gives audience members who are following how the other shows are going a sense of getting something special. I was actually closer to the stage ( and the speakers ) tonight, so I was able to hear the higher registers a little better and could actually make out what the cover song was that Magic did. Followed by a brief (kind of silly but ultimately fun) appearance from the Laker Girls.
And while the music may be fun to dance to, this is not some trance rave going until 4am. Magic did (unlike last night), and thanks to mostly ear monitors we weren't bombarded with the sound from whatever instrument amp we were closest to. And I know very few people go to a concert two nights in a row. It also made for a cool experience to turn around and watch Adam and James walk out into a sea of humanity. But nevertheless, it was very fun!
Overall, very good show but not mind-blowing. Love all of their music but would really like to hear deep album cuts, not just what's on the radio. Please shake things up, if for no other reason that to keep yourself (the artist) engaged and out of autopilot. Verbatim from the night before, performances and audience interactions were. I was actually closer to the stage ( and the speakers ) tonight, so I was able to hear the higher registers a little better. Mark Normand also brought out an amazing surprise guest for the last song in the encore: Randy Newman!
